Responsible for academic advising services, including academic advising and academic evaluations for promotion and progression in order to support the academic success, personal development and retention of undergraduate Science students.

Manages the Faculty’s promotion and tenure processes, academic projects such as Head searches and external Departmental reviews for the Dean, Dean’s advisory committees activities; supports faculty-wide projects and initiatives.

Manages and creates content for UBC Science communications channels, alumni engagement and our research magazine FOCUS.   

Leads fundraising efforts for the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Michael Smith Laboratories (MSL) and life science related projects.

Leads the delivery of student-facing academic advising services and student engagement initiatives to approximately 8200 undergraduate and professional graduate students in the Faculty of Science.

Oversees graduation evaluation for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Science. Provides academic advising services including prospective advising, student programming and academic evaluations for promotion and progression.

Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of programs that contribute to a positive living and learning environment for about 10,000 undergraduate students in the Faculty of Science.

Part time admin assistant, supporting Associate Dean Academic, Jackie Stewart and Associate Dean Students, James Charbonneau. Handles inquiries for their time and manages their calendars.

Provides comprehensive strategic financial and operational management for the Faculty. Leads innovative initiatives to move strategic plans forward and provides authoritative advice on financial issues.
