What we’re doing at UBC Science

Initiatives at UBC Science

UBC Science proactively engages a diverse hiring pool, monitors progress toward equitable hiring practices and promotion, provides recruitment and HR guidance, and ensures services and support are available to members of the UBC Science community. UBC Science is working to reduce the barriers that affect equity and diversity in recruitment, and to promote a workplace that is welcoming and inclusive. Looking ahead, UBC Science will cast an intersectional lens on equity issues, expand our efforts to include students, staff as well as faculty in our work.

Equity and Inclusion at our Departments and Institutes

UBC Science consists of 14 departments and academic units. To learn more about equity and inclusion in each of these departments, visit their respective pages on equity to learn more.
