Other than Co-op, there are numerous on-campus job positions for UBC students to build work experience.

UBC Work Learn Program

Apply for winter positions in August. Apply for summer positions in March.

  • Work 10 hours/week during school year; 20 hours/week in the summer
  • Student jobs on campus, including research positions

UBC Residence Life

Apply in November

  • Residence advisor and coordinator positions available
  • Assist students to succeed socially and academically through fun, engaging events
  • Build leadership skills and other personal and professional skills

UBC Alma Mater Society (AMS) Jobs

Positions are available year-round with more opportunities at the start and end of the school year

  • Alma Mater Society (AMS) is the official student society representing all UBC undergrads

  • Assist with reference questions, compiling statistical data, and helping with collection projects
  • Work in an environment that encourages growth, community, and creativity
