Three UBC Science staff members receive President’s Awards

Three UBC Science staff members have been recognized with President’s Staff Awards for their outstanding achievement and contributions to the university.
Derek Tan, Digital Media Specialist at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum is the recipient of a President’s Staff Award for Creativity & Innovation.
Patrick Tamkee, Aquatics Technician, Zoology, is the recipient of a President’s Staff Award for Enhancing the UBC Experience.
Kali Wilson, formerly Senior Student Development Coordinator, received a President’s Staff Award for Emerging Leadership.
There are six categories of President’s Staff Awards. In 2016, a total of 12 individuals were honored with Staff Awards.
We honour xwməθkwəy̓ əm (Musqueam) on whose ancestral, unceded territory UBC Vancouver is situated. UBC Science is committed to building meaningful relationships with Indigenous peoples so we can advance Reconciliation and ensure traditional ways of knowing enrich our teaching and research.
