UBC Science faculty members have been awarded close to $1.2 million in research funding by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
The ten funded projects are led by researchers in the departments of Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, Physics and Astronomy, and Zoology, and investigate a range of issues, including infectious disease, immune response and cholesterol metabolism.
In total, the University of British Columbia received more than $21 million from the health research funding body. Visit the CIHR website for details on the announcement.
