Dropping, Swapping, and Withdrawing from Courses in Workday

Before dropping or withdrawing from a course

How to drop or withdraw from a course in Workday

If you’re dropping a course before the add/drop deadline, you can find step-by-step instructions on how to do so in Workday. If you’re withdrawing from a course after the add/drop deadline, follow these instructions instead.

How to swap courses in Workday

Workday allows you to swap courses or sections in most courses. This means you can switch a course or section you’re already registered in with a different one while keeping your current spot until a seat in the new course or section is confirmed.

This may be a convenient alternative to dropping a course. If you drop a course, your seat is immediately available to other students. You can follow step-by-step instructions on swapping a course.
