Ways to Give to UBC Science

There are many ways to support UBC Science. For more information about ways to give, please contact the UBC Science development team at giving@science.ubc.ca or 604.822.3404.

Giving by credit card

You can donate to UBC Science with your credit card online or by phone. You can sign up for a monthly giving program, make a one-time gift, or pay an existing pledge. For security reasons, we cannot accept credit card information by email or fax.

Browse UBC Science giving opportunities online or contact us at giving@science.ubc.ca or 604.822.3404 for more information.

Gifts by cheque

UBC welcomes gifts by cheque of any value or currency. All cheques must include the project name on the memo line or be accompanied by documentation that identifies the project you want to support.

Please mail cheques to:

Gifts-in-kind

A gift-in-kind is a non-cash donation. Gifts-in-kind include items like personal effects, equipment and real estate. UBC Science may accept a gift-in-kind as a charitable donation if the item is consistent with the UBC’s mission, goals, priorities and strategic plan.

International gifts

UBC has established international charitable foundations for donors living in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the United States. These foundations help non-residents of Canada support UBC Science.

Payroll deduction for UBC faculty and staff

UBC faculty and staff members can make monthly payroll contributions. Payroll contributions are an easy way to support UBC Science students, researchers and outreach programs. Ongoing payroll contributions are noted on your T4 at the end of the year for income tax purposes.

Other giving methods

We would be pleased to discuss other giving methods, including Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT), gifts of securities, planned giving, employer matching gifts and memorial gifts.
