The UBC Science Research Mixer is an opportunity for UBC Science faculty and postdoctoral fellows to meet colleagues conducting research with industry, NGO or non-profit partners, and to forge new connections with potential collaborators across sectors including biotechnology, life sciences, clean energy, environment and conservation, materials science, and artificial intelligence. The event will include keynotes, refreshments, networking and more.
This event is open to UBC Faculty of Science researchers and postdoctoral fellows, and current or potential industry and not-for-profit partners. We look forward to seeing you there!

Dr. Barker is the director of UBC’s Mineral Deposit Research Unit—one of the world's leading integrated mineral deposit and exploration research groups, with over 200 alumni and associates working across industry, government and academia.
Dr. Leyton-Brown is the director of UBC’s Centre for AI Decision-making and Action and Canada CIFAR AI Chair. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, mostly at the intersection of machine learning, game theory and electronic markets.
A Canada Research Chair, Dr. Schindler investigates the synthesis and biological activity of natural products and their analogs, often with implications for pharmaceutical and medical research and development.
