UBC Science is building a network of alumni volunteers who are interested in sharing their experiences, insights, and career journeys with current students. Whether you have an hour to spare or would like to get involved more regularly, there are flexible opportunities to fit your interests and availability.

Every UBC Science graduate has a story - and that story could help a student discover what's possible. Whether you've pursued research, advanced healthcare, launched a business, developed new technologies, protected the environment, or followed an unexpected career path, your perspective can inspire and guide the next generation.

Ways to Get Involved

Career Conversations & Networking Events

Connect with students through career nights, networking events, and speed mentoring sessions. Share your experiences, answer questions, and help students explore potential career paths, including as a volunteer mentor/advisor at the annual UBC Science Alumni Networking Night each January.

Alumni Profiles

Be featured in a UBC Science alumni story. Through a brief interview, you'll share your journey and reflections, helping students learn about the many opportunities a Science degree can create.
