Tips and Advice from Iulia Dascalu
Which SCI Team event are you looking forward to the most and why?
I'm really looking forward to Get Into Volunteering! I think volunteering is a great way to enrich your university experience–it often fosters new relationships, new experiences, and maybe even the discovery of new passions! There are lots of really interesting and rewarding volunteer opportunities out there, and Get Into Volunteering offers a great chance to discover them.
What do you passionately love to do during your spare time?
Sleep, eat, lift, hike, explore nature, travel, listen to music, and read! Also, adult colouring books.
If you could only give one piece of advice to any undergraduate student, what would it be?
Nothing is as big of a deal as you think it is in the moment! Remember to take a step back and put things into perspective–don't sweat the small stuff! It's really easy to get caught up in the day to day and start to feel overwhelmed; just take things one at a time and remember to set aside time for yourself, your passions, and the people who matter to you.
You're an addition to the crayon box. What color would you be?
Black, because it goes with everything.
