Tips and Advice from Evan Zhou

Which SCI Team event are you looking forward to the most and why?
Super stoked for Get into Volunteering! We have a diverse set of organizations attending and everyone will be able to find something that interests them!
What do you passionately love to do during your spare time?
You can find me hanging out with my friends, family, and dog Scout, hiking, hitting the Gym (sometimes...), and yoga.
If you could only give one piece of advice to any undergraduate student, what would it be?
It’s NEVER over! My time here at UBC I have learned that there is always “a Plan A, a Plan B a Plan C and even a Plan D. When Plan A doesn’t work as planned, sometimes following Plan B has you ending up where Plan A intended, just through a different path.” An influential professor who helped guide me through my first year gave me this piece of advice and I constantly remind myself and others to not be afraid of setting their goals and dreams high, because if your original plan fails there’s always another path of getting you to where you want to be.
You're an addition to the crayon box. What color would you be?
Razzmatazz because anything spelled with 4 Z’s is a winner.
