Through the work of our Senior Advisor - Indigenous Students, our faculties engage in outreach, recruitment, and student retention work with Indigenous students. In this work we aim to build long lasting relationships with Indigenous youth throughout their education into their careers.

Services and Support

Tutoring for Indigenous Students in Science Courses

Indigenous students taking one or more science or math courses are eligible for subsidized tutoring. Please contact the Senior Advisor - Indigenous Students for the tutoring schedule.

Academic Advising

Indigenous students are welcomed at Science Advising and can also drop-in and talk with the Senior Advisor in their office hours.

UBC First Nations House of Learning

The First Nations House of Learning is a 'home away from home' for First Nations students studying at UBC. The FNHL works to make the University's vast resources more accessible to Indigenous Peoples, and to improve UBC's ability to meet the needs of First Nations, Métis and Inuit. The Indigenous portal provides links and information to all the services available to First Nations, Métis and Inuit students at UBC.
