For many mature students, the prospect of taking on the substantial commitment of a degree can be daunting.
UBC Science recognizes not only the high degree of motivation that many mature students display, but also values the life experiences and wealth of knowledge that they can bring to the University community. A great deal of help and advice is available along the way via UBC's extensive support network.
Course planning, adding or dropping courses, grading schemes, tuition payments, and fees may be different at UBC than the institution you may be transferring from, or from those you may have planned to attend in your home country. Be sure to check the academic calendar and seek advice from professors and advisors.
UBC runs orientations for mature and transfer students, and you.ubc.ca has a site with a collection of important resources.
