WWEST is a program created by UBC Mechanical Engineering professor and NSERC Chair for Women in Science and Engineering, BC and Yukon Region, Dr. Elizabeth Croft. The program's mission is to provide support in the recruitment and retention of women in engineering, science and technology on the west coast.

Sigma Delta Epsilon/Graduate Women in Science (SDE/GWIS) Fellowships Program

The SDE/GWIS Fellowships Program aims to increase knowledge in the fundamental sciences and encourage research careers in the sciences by women. All women scientists who are conducting research in the natural sciences (graduate students, post-doctoral fellows or early-stage junior faculty) and demonstrate financial need for continuation or completion of their research are eligible for application for any of the SDE/GWIS Fellowships.
