Housing
Living on campus is more than just a practical option for housing--it’s one of the most rewarding university experiences you can have. Nestled in acres of gardens, with a regional park next door and the Pacific Ocean within walking distance, UBC’s dorms, apartments, townhouses, and condo units are an inspiring setting for studying, socializing, and recreation.
Many first year students are either guaranteed or given priority for a shared room in Totem Park or Place Vanier, including students from outside the Greater Vancouver area, scholarship students, Aboriginal students, student athletes, and students with disabilities.
Be sure to apply for residence right after you apply for admission to UBC. For the best chance of getting a place, apply by February 1; the application deadline for those who qualify for priority access is May 1.
