Academic and Personal Development

UBC provides many opportunities for students to explore academic interests, and get involved in service activities, clubs and leadership roles. One great opportunity is SCI Team, a peer leadership program that operates under the motto 'students helping students'. And when you have questions UBC Science offers an advising centre staffed by experienced people--if they don't know the answer, they'll help you find the person who does or the online resource you need.

Services for Students with Disabilities

UBC is committed to providing an environment free of structural and attitudinal barriers for students with disabilities.

UBC’s Disability Resource Centre (DRC) provides a wide range of services and support for students with physical and/or learning disabilities, including mobility assistance, interpreting, captioning, and facilitating accommodations needed by students. You’re invited to make an appointment with a Disability Advisor to discuss the academic accommodations and programs you’re eligible for. Academic accommodations are determined on the basis of a student’s documentation of disability and the essential learning outcomes of courses.
