Science Co-op

One of the best ways to gain work experience related to your area of study while you're still an undergraduate student is to join the Science Co-op Program. The co-op office works closely with employers in Canada and all over the world to develop challenging, career-related positions for Co-op students. During each placement period, the Co-op office posts positions and students actively seek jobs. Students apply for jobs that are of particular interest to them.

Employers select applicants to be interviewed, interview, and then indicate the candidates they wish to hire. Students also indicate their preference of jobs. Once your employment is confirmed by a Letter of Offer from the company, you will register for the appropriate credit Co-op course and pay the course fee as outlined in the UBC Calendar.
